Innovative connectivity in the BMW Z4 seamlessly links drivers with their vehicle and the world outside. BMW Live Cockpit Professional and BMW Operating System 7.0 with touch and voice control ensures right information is displayed to the driver in the best possible way.
BMW DIGITAL KEY
Why take your key with you if you have your smartphone with you? You can lock and unlock your BMW and even start it with the Digital Key. You can also authorise up to five people with an iPhone* – if compatible – to use your BMW.

BMW HEAD-UP DISPLAY
The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display projects all information relevant to the journey directly into the driver's field of vision, thereby allowing them to fully concentrate on driving. Information such as the current speed, navigation directions, Speed Limit Info, along with telephone and entertainment lists are displayed.
SOFT-TOP
The soft-top of the BMW Z4 is the key to a pure and open driving experience. Whether on a mild summer evening or a sunny winter’s day, the roof opens or closes in just 10 brief seconds and does so while driving at a speed of up to 50 km/h – so that there are no upper limits to your driving machine.

In 4.1 adrenalin-charged seconds, the 285 kW of the M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder petrol engine accelerate the BMW Z4 Roadster from 0 to 100 km/h. There is no sportier way of achieving that feeling of perfect freedom.
M TWINPOWER TURBO 6-CYLINDER PETROL ENGINE
Superior power, silky smooth running and an inspiring sound characterise the M TwinPower Turbo 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder petrol engine from the new generation of the BMW EfficientDynamics engine family. With Double-VANOS, Valvetronic, High-Precision Injection and a twin scroll turbocharger, it generates 285 kW and delivers an impressive maximum torque of 500 Nm.
ADAPTIVE M SUSPENION
The 10 millimetre lowered Adaptive M suspension can be electrically adjusted at any time to suit the road and driving conditions. Drivers can also adjust the suspension characteristics via the Driving Experience Control to enable their preferred driving style at the time – from comfortable to extremely athletic with markedly agile handling.
VARIABLE SPORT STEERING
The Variable sport steering with Servotronic creates a direct and agile steering response and ensures that less physical effort is required to turn the wheel. It reacts to the angle of the steering wheel with varying steering ratios. This improves handling when driving more dynamically and reduces the effort needed to steer when parking and turning.
M SPORT BRAKE
The M Sport brake has four-piston fixed callipers at the front and single-piston floating callipers at the rear in blue with the M designation and features large brake discs to ensure an outstanding braking performance.
